Gritty Effort Allows Golden Eagles to Outlast MACU in Overtime

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Senior Luke Harper and junior DJ Ellis each hit triples in overtime, and the Golden Eagle defense forced the Evangels to shot 1-of-6 in overtime and commit four turnovers as the John Brown University men's basketball team held on for a gritty 87-83 win over Mid-America Christian (Okla.) in overtime Saturday (Jan. 8) afternoon inside the Gaulke Activity Center.
