Final Big West Road Trip Begins in Bakersfield

First place UC San Diego puts its four-game Big West win streak on the line Thursday as the Tritons travel to Bakersfield for a showdown with the Roadrunners. Last time out, UC San Diego earned a 92-88 overtime win over UC Irvine in a battle of Big West leaders. Cal State Bakersfield is 9-4 at home this season after trouncing UC Davis on Saturday.
 
When these two teams met in the Big West opener on Dec. 28, the Tritons earned a 76-64 win over the 'Runners. A victory Thursday would give the Tritons their first 20-win season in Division I (and the sixth in Eric Olen's 11 years as head coach).
