ESU Ranked No. 6 in Latest D2CSC Atlantic Region Men’s Basketball Poll

EAST STROUDSBURG – Despite a dominant win in its lone game of the week, Division II College Sports Communicators (D2CSC) announced on Wednesday that the East Stroudsburg University men's basketball team dropped a spot in the D2CSC Atlantic Region Poll. The Warriors (6-1) continue to receive votes in the national poll.

In its final home game of the holiday season, ESU flexed its muscles in a 113-93 victory over Holy Family. Behind its most free throws made (30) since the 2018-19 season and six double-figure scorers, the Warriors totaled season-bests in points (113), field goals made (35), 3-pointers made (13), free throw attempts (38), assists (22) and steals (17). The Warriors built a game-high 32-point lead early in the second half and cruised to a 20-point bounce-back win over the Tigers.

Through seven contests, ESU ranks in the top-10 nationally among 287 teams in free throw attempts per game (2nd in DII, 31.0), free throws made per game (3rd in DII, 23.7), turnovers forced per game (5th in DII, 22.43), and steals per game (9th in DII, 11.3).

Charleston moved ahead of the Warriors after taking down previously undefeated and now No. 5 West Liberty last Wednesday.
