Eagles Outlast Sagehens in Home Opener

CLAREMONT, Ca. – The Pomona-Pitzer men’s basketball team fell to Biola University in their home opener 76-70. The team shot 33.8% from the field (22-65) and 31.4% from downtown (11-35). The Sagehens picked up 23 points off the bench and earned 27 rebounds on the night. Pomona-Pitzer had three players score in the double-digits with Matt Eberle leading the way with 18 while Brendan Mora and Peyton Mullarkey earned 16 and 13, respectively. The Sagehens will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 20 when they travel to University of Chicago for the Midway Classic with a game against Denison at 3:00 p.m.
