Eagles Fall On The Road Against Hendrix

Conway, Ark.-Hendrix College erased a 15-3 deficit in the the first half to pull out a 68-62 win over the Eagles Sunday in Conway. The Eagles stormed out to a big lead early behind Grayson Nix. Nix fueled the surge with nine points during that stretch. Kamren Roelke increased the lead to 21-13 with a jump shot at the 8:03 mark. From there, Hendrix made a run to tie the contest 29-29 at halftime. The Eagles hit a respectable 42 percent from the field in the first half, while Hendrix hit 30 percent. The two teams traded baskets in the second half, but the Eagles gained a 60-54 advantage after another Nix bucket with less than six minutes remaining. The game was tied 62-62 with 3:24 left, but Hendrix went on a 6-0 run to finish out the game. Nix scored 23 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Roelke had 16 points.
