Devin Carter Named Semifinalist For Naismith Defensive Player Of The Year

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – It was announced today (March 13) that Providence College junior guard Devin Carter (Miami, Fla.) was one of 10 players named as a Semifinalist for the Naismith Defensive Player Award.  Carter ranks second in the BIG EAST in defensive rebounds (7.6 per game), fourth in steals (1.7 per game) and 12th in blocked shots (1.0 per game).  The Naismith Defensive Player Of The Year is presented annually to the most outstanding men's and women's defensive basketball player who achieves tremendous on-court success.
