FREDONIA, N.Y. — The Fredonia State men's basketball team overcame a slow first start to earn the come-from-behind victory against Buffalo State on Saturday. The Devils would only manage to score 19 points in the first half and would score 38 in the second half to beat the Bengals by a final score of 57-52.

Elian Dominguez and Keenan Roberts Jr would lead the Devils in scoring with Dominguez scoring a career best 16 points and Roberts with 15 points. Dominguez would shoot 7-10 from the field and Roberts would miss only one shot on the night.

Buffalo State was paced by Maley McCurty who would score 15 points and snag seven rebounds. Nigel Burch would add 12 points and seven rebounds as well.

The Devils would recapture the lead off of Roberts made three pointer at the 13 minute mark but a pair of made free throws from Buff state's Burch would draw the Bengals within one point with under a minute remaining in regulation. A driving lay up from Dominguez would put the Devils up by three and after a Buff State miss on the other end Roberts would put the game away at the line sinking both free throws to give the Devils the five-point victory.

This win helps Fredonia State improve to 6-14 on the season. The Devils will next play host to Oneonta this Tuesday in Dods Hall with the game scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
