Devils drop D1 exhibition to Le Moyne

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Fredonia State men's basketball team took to the road to take on LeMoyne on Wednesday, falling to the Dolphins, 92-54. Per NCAA rules, the game is considered an exhibition when a Division 3 team moves up to compete against a Division 1.

David Jordan scored a season-high 16 points, including four 3-pointers, and Keenan Roberts Jr. added 10. Jykevious Searcy grabbed eight rebounds, and added seven points. LeMoyne had four players in double digits, led by Luke Sutherland with 19.

LeMoyne jumped out to an early lead, and led 55-28 at the half. The Devils slowed LeMoyne down in the second half, holding them to 36 points.

The Devils were able to use 17 different players in the early-season exhibition. It will be the Devils' last tuneup before starting conference play against Buffalo State this weekend. Fredonia State got the better of the Bengals twice last season. The first meeting resulted in the Devils eeking out a 71-70 victory, before a more comfortable 93-82 in Dods Hall a season ago.
