Cougars struggle in second half, drop CUNYAC contest to Beavers; Freshman Derek Wicker scores team-high 13 points

The Medgar Evers College men's basketball team dropped a CUNYAC game on Friday evening, falling to the Beavers of the City College of New York by a score of 96-57. The contest took place at the Cougars Cave in Brooklyn, NY. With the defeat, the Cougars dipped to a mark of 2-20 on the 2023-2024 campaign (0-11 CUNYAC), and Medgar Evers was mathematically eliminated from CUNYAC postseason contention. CCNY improved to a record of 15-7, and 8-3 in conference action.
