Cougars MBB Falls to Delaware State 76-69

Three players scored in double figures led by Wesley Cardet's 22 points but the Cougars lost to Delaware State 76-69 Thursday night at the Jones Convocation Center in Chicago. The Cougars trailed by as many as 13 in the first half but battled back to take a one-point lead in the final four minutes but the Hornets closed the half with a 6-0 run to take a nine-point lead into the locker room at halftime. Delaware State led by double figures much of the second half but CSU managed to cut the lead to five with 7:27 remaining but a 9-0 Hornets run pushed the lead back into double figures and the Cougars would get to within six with 0:43 remaining but Delaware State closed out the game at the line for the eventual seven-point win.
