CHAMPIONS! Crusaders Overcome Early Loss to Take Conference Carolinas Tournament

After dropping their first game of the tournament, the North Greenville Crusaders overcame the odds and won four games in a row, with the final being a 14-1 victory over the Mount Olive Trojans to win the 2021 Conference Carolinas Tournament Championship at Fleming Stadium in Wilson, North Carolina. The Crusaders took a small early lead with a run in the 1st and one in the 2nd, but five-run 4th and 5th innings ended any doubt as NGU would go on to shutout the Trojans. The championship is North Greenville's fourth overall and third in a row. NGU will now focus on the NCAA Southeast Regional Tournament, which will be held in a location that has yet to be determined. North Greenville will go into the tournament with a 33-11 overall record.
