Captains Roll to 101-65 Victory over Alvernia in CNU/Holiday Inn Invitational First Round

Christopher Newport University broke open a close game with a 22-5 run over the final eight minutes of the first half, and coasted to a 101-65 victory Saturday over Alvernia (Pa.). The Captains improved to 4-2 on the year with the win in the first round of the CNU/Holiday Inn Invitational at the Freeman Center.
