Big Second Half Pushes Eagles To 4-0

Memphis, Tenn. – The Eagles outscored Milsaps College 42-26 in the second half to claim a 73-66 win and move to 4-0 on the season. Millsaps had a strong first half hitting 57 percent from the field and owned a 40-31 halftime lead. But the Eagles looked different in the second half turning up the defensive pressure and limiting Millsaps to 27 percent from the field. The Eagles offense also shot better, improving to 42 percent from the floor and 90 percent from the free throw line. The Eagles opened the second half on a 14-0 run and Millsaps never had the lead again. Jordan Jenkins and Josh Ukpe hit back-to-back three-pointers during that stretch. Millsaps did cut the deficit to 66-63 with 1:12 remaining, but Tim Eldridge hit a clutch three-pointer with under a minute to go and then made a pair of free throws with 32 seconds left. Ukpe led the Eagles with 17 points.
