THE OPENING TIP

• Following their past two games, the Aggies have lost two consecutive games at home for the first time over a year, falling to Sam Houston (79-58) and LA Tech (67-58). With the losses, Hooten's group goes to 11-17 overall and 5-8 in conference play. 

• NM State will collide with Liberty for its fourteenth game of conference play this season, with the Flamess currently coming off a road loss versus FIU (76-71) on Thursday to move to 5-7 in conference play.

• Thursday will be the Aggie's second time lacing up against the Flames this season with the Aggies coming out on top at home in an overtime battle (79-73). NM State looks to get the ball back rolling after losing its last five games.
