#6 Pioneers Hang Tough with #3 West Liberty, Fall 94-89 in NCAA DII Atlantic Regional

WEST LIBERTY, WV – The Malone University men's basketball team dropped their First Round game of the NCAA DII Tournament on Saturday with a loss to the host West Liberty, 94-89. Casey Kaufman and the #6 Pioneers fought hard the duration of the contest, but could not overcome the full court pressure of the #3 Hilltoppers in the end. Senior Marcus Ernst did a bulk of the scoring with a career-high 33 points.
