2021-2022 Men’s Basketball Season Wrap Up

Gwynedd Valley, Pa. – (3/17/2022) – At 15-9 overall and 7-5 in the Atlantic East Conference (AEC), Gwynedd Mercy University earned the #3 seed in the 2021-2022 AEC Men's Basketball Championship Tournament. In the February-21 quarterfinal, the Griffins owned a 58-53 (4:04) lead over #6 Centenary University (11-12) with a little more than four minutes remaining. Unfortunately, the Cyclones outscored the Griffins 10-5 in those final four minutes, rallying for a 62-58 (1:01) lead before having to hold the home team off in the final seconds of a 66-63 (0:16) final.
